NCEA L2 Mathematics
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr P. Kotze.
This NCEA level two (curriculum level 7) Mathematics course covers algebra, coordinate geometry, trigonometry, networks and sequences and series. It provides a solid foundation for those wishing to take Mathematics at NCEA level three.

Recommended Prior Learning
Students require a minimum of 10 Mathematics credits at NCEA L1 to enter any NCEA L2 Mathematics course. It is strongly recommended that students have achieved at least two of AS91944 and AS91947 NCEA L1 to ensure they have the prior knowledge to succeed in this course.
To achieve success at NCEA L2 (curriculum level 7) students need to be present for more than 85% of classes, actively engaged during every lesson and complete between two and three hours of independent study every week.

A Graphics calculator is beneficial but not compulsory.
A textbook will be issued to the student for the year. It is the student's responsibility and must be returned in good condition at the end of the year.
Additional resources are available for an additional charge, these are not compulsory.
Students are to bring all equipment to every lesson.
