Course Description

Recommended Prior Learning

Students require a minimum of 10 Mathematics credits at NCEA L2 and must have Achieved in AS91262 (2.7) - Calculus and AS91261 (2.6) - Algebra to be considered for this course. In the event that the course is oversubscribed students will be ranked and selected based on their results. 

In order to achieve success at NCEA L3 (curriculum level 8) students need to be present for more than 85% of classes, actively engaged during every lesson and complete between two and three hours of independent study every week.



This NCEA level three (curriculum level 8) Calculus course covers algebra, integration, differentiation, complex numbers and possibly conic sections. It provides students with the knowledge to pursue Calculus at the university level.

A textbook will be issued to the student for the year. It is the student's responsibility and must be returned in good condition at the end of the year.

Students are to bring all equipment to every lesson.
