The skills developed throughout the year will enable you to deepen both your written and oral communication skills as well as complement other Level 2 subjects that involve report writing.
This course does provide University Entrance Literacy requirements.
Term 1
This term we define the parameters of our theme and begin reading the class text - 1984 by George Orwell. We also start setting up our personal responses standard and delving into the wonderful world of unfamiliar text.
We also complete our first piece for the writing portfolio.
Term 2
In Term 2 we complete the personal responses standard and continue to deconstruct the class text.
We write another piece for writing portfolio and continue to develop our unfamiliar text skills.
Term 3
Term 3 focuses on preparation and completion of the Derived Grade Exams as well as completing the writing portfolio standard and close viewing.
Term 4
This short term is all about revising, reviewing and reflecting on what we have learnt in preparation for the exams.
