NCEA L2 Top of the South Trades Academy

Course Description

Top of the South Trades Academy is a chance for students to learn about a trade that interests them. The Trades Academy is run by NMIT and is held every Thursday at the NIMT Budge Street Campus.  

Course Overview

Term 1
Students are at Trades Academy on Thursdays and for the rest of students are placed in a CDV200 class. In this class they will be expected to follow the same programme as the CDV200 students.

Term 2
Students will undertake Driving Education as well as continue to work on Unit Standards that match their career interest.
OR
Work on Unit Standards that match their interests.

Term 3
Work on Unit Standards that match their interests.
OR

Students will undertake Driving Education as well as continue to work on Unit Standards that match their career interest..

Term 4
The Trades Academy finishes early in Term 4. Students will have the opportunity to complete any standards that they have not finished or study for external Achievement Standards.
