Course Description

Rugby Academy (RAC) is a practical course for those who aspire to play rugby at a high level, are wanting to improve their skill level and game understanding, and also gain an insight into the demands of a high performance environment. The Semester A course includes the following components:

Rugby Skill Development

Physical Fitness Training

Self Management

Social Responsibility

Introduction to Coaching


Recommended Prior Learning

This course does not require any prior learning but an application process is in place to check your eligibility of gaining entry.

Assessment Information

All internally assessed Level 1 and 2 Unit and Achievement Standards.

Pathway

This course leads directly into NCEA Level 2 - Rugby Academy B and also other Physical Education semester B courses.
