Agriculture and Horticulture Level 3 investigates management practices and factors influencing primary production. 

The course includes

   Investigation of viticultural practices

   Primary production profitability


Course Overview

Semester A
Investigation of viticultural practices- this practical investigation looks at how different trellis designs can influence the brix levels in grapes. Students will travel to a nearby vineyard to collect samples and then write a report.

Primary production profitability- this research project can look at local a primary industry and how climatic, social, technological, economic, political and cultural practices, on-farm and off-farm affect the farmers profit.

Recommended Prior Learning

No prior learning is required but an interest in Primary Industries would be beneficial.

Students will require a 1B5 book.
